DIY Floating Pots

Spring is in the air and the flowers are blooming! This is probably my most favorite time of the year around the outside of our house...all the pretty flowers and the bright greens all around.

Here's a project that I worked on yesterday. I purchased my supplies from Walmart. The hard plastic stick and the pots you can find in their garden center. Cost me $6.00 for the stick and the 4 pots.

I first planted what I wanted to in the pots.

Then I picked a spot in the front of my house where I can put the stick in deep enough to carry the weight of the pots.

The pots have holes on the bottom so you just slide each pot through in a slant one by one making sure each is supported by the one underneath it.

Turned out pretty good I think! Hubby said he'll cut off the excess so you can't see the stick at the top. Then it should really look like they are floating.

Going to buy more pots in different sizes and put more floating pots around the yard...you should try it!
